Toku has announced the appointment of Robert N. Weinreb, MD, to its board of directors. A technology company specializing in developing non-invasive, artificial intelligence (AI)-powered diagnostic and screening tools using retinal imaging to measure cardiovascular and other health risk factors, Toku noted that Dr. Weinreb's appointment underscores the company's commitment to excellence and innovation in eyecare. “We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Weinreb to our board. Working with him, we will accelerate our leadership in health care through the eye,” according to Ehsan Vaghefi, Toku president and chief executive officer.

EyeCare Partners, a provider of clinically integrated eyecare, has announced that Joel Day has been named executive vice president, finance, and will take the chief financial officer role with the company, effective June 1, 2024. He will have responsibility for the strategic planning, implementation and management of all EyeCare Partners finance activities, including accounting, business planning, budgeting, forecasting, revenue cycle management (RCM) and procurement. Day will succeed Bob Gold, who has shared his intent to depart the organization, effective May 31.
